The Year Founded filter is available in the Companies tab and can be accessed either:
through the filter menu
or by searching for “Year Founded” directly in the filter search bar
This filter allows you to search for companies within a specific founding year range by setting a minimum and/or maximum year.
🔎 How It Works
Setting a minimum year will return companies founded from that year up to the current year.
Example: Minimum = 2018 → companies founded between 2018 and today
Setting a maximum year without a minimum will return companies founded before that year.
Example: Maximum = 2000 → companies founded before 2000
You can also combine both fields to target a specific time range.
Example: 2005–2015

The Year Founded filter is especially useful for:
targeting fast-growing startups founded in recent years
finding established companies with long market presence
identifying businesses likely to be scaling operations
tailoring outreach based on company maturity
segmenting newer vs. legacy businesses
Combine this filter with Industry (Ocean.io), Size (employees), Annual revenue, or Technologies filters to build even more precise company searches.
