Website Traffic Filter

Use this filter to find companies based on the average traffic to their website.

The Website Traffic filter helps you identify organizations by their online presence and reach, so you can target businesses that match your ideal visibility or engagement level.

What You Can Filter By

You can choose to filter by either Visits or Views:

  • Visits represent the total number of sessions or unique browsing visits from users.

  • Views represent the total number of page views on a company’s website.

Both metrics are calculated as monthly averages over the past three months, giving you a reliable snapshot of recent website activity. The data is updated monthly to ensure it remains accurate and current.

Setting a Range

For both Views and Visits, you can define a range using From and To dropdown fields.

Available values include:

  • 5,000

  • 10,000

  • 50,000

  • 100,000

  • 200,000

  • 500,000

  • 1,000,000

For example:

  • To find companies with smaller, niche audiences, you might set the range from 5,000 to 50,000.

  • To focus on high-traffic organizations, set the From field to 500,000 or higher.

You can also leave either field blank to include all results above or below a certain threshold.

How It Works

Ocean.io collects website traffic data from trusted external providers that measure website activity over time.

Traffic levels are averaged across the last three months to provide a consistent and balanced view of each company’s online performance.

Because data is refreshed every month, your results will always reflect recent traffic trends rather than outdated figures.

When to Use This Filter

Use the Website Traffic filter to:

  • Identify companies with strong online presence and high engagement

  • Focus on emerging businesses gaining traction

  • Exclude companies with minimal web activity

  • Combine with other filters, such as Industry or Company Size, for precise segmentation

This filter is especially useful for marketers, sales teams, and analysts who want to align outreach or targeting with a company’s digital visibility and activity.
