Managing Your Subscription and Billing

Managing your subscription and billing in Ocean.io is simple and transparent. From your subscription settings you can view key details, update payment information, purchase additional credits, and cancel or upgrade your plan.

1. Access Your Subscription Settings

To manage your subscription or billing details:

  1. Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.

  2. In the pop-up menu, choose one of the following:

  • Billing → takes you directly to your billing page

  • Settings → then select Billing from the settings menu

Below is a simple overview of each section so you always know where to find what you need.

2. Subscription Overview

On the Billing page, you’ll find:

  • Your recurring credits and allowance

  • Your billing frequency (monthly or yearly)

  • Your next billing date

  • Upcoming renewal price (if on a subscription plan)

  • Options to upgrade your plan or purchase additional credits

This section gives a quick snapshot of your subscription at a glance:

Note:
You can also upgrade your subscription from the profile section in the bottom-left corner. Click your profile icon to open the menu, then select Upgrade subscription at the top of the pop-up.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

How to Cancel

  • Click Cancel Subscription in your Billing overview.

  • Complete a short feedback survey.

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

After Cancelling

  • Access continues until the current cycle ends.

  • Unused credits are not carried over.

  • Your leads, labels, and dashboard data remain intact, so you can restore your subscription later.

Changing Plans

  • Upgrades or downgrades adjust your credit allowance and billing accordingly.

  • For custom enterprise or large credit needs, contact Ocean.io support.

Pay-As-You-Go Credits

  • If you’ve purchased Pay-As-You-Go credits, there is no subscription to cancel, so no cancel button appears.

  • Pay-As-You-Go credits remain active for 3 months from the date of purchase and expire automatically afterwards.

  • You can continue to use these credits until they expire, after which they will simply expire.

4. Payment Method & Billing Address

This section shows:

  • The credit card currently on file

  • Your billing address

  • The option to update your payment method

Important:
Once an invoice has been paid, it cannot be moved to another card.
If you want a renewal charged to a different card, please update your payment method before the renewal date.

To update your billing information or add a VAT number, you can:

  • Click Change Subscription or

  • Go to the Credits section and click Add Credits.

  • In the window that opens, click Update Address.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the window to find the Notes field. Here, you can add a VAT number or any other custom reference for your invoice.

  • Save your changes to update your billing information immediately.

Note: If the Update Address option is not available on your screen, this means you are either on a custom plan or an older plan. Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

5. Credits Overview

Here you can see:

  • Current credits available – How many credits you have left to use.

  • Credits used – A breakdown of how many credits you’ve already used.

  • Credit pools in use – Which credits are being used: from your subscription plan or Pay-As-You-Go purchases, and how many credits have been drawn from each pool.

  • Invoice and credit validity – When credits were issued via invoices and until when they are valid.

  • Purchase additional credits – Buy more credits anytime if you need extra without changing your subscription plan.

If you need a specific credit amount not shown in the available packages, simply contact our support team and we can help.

6. Invoice History

At the bottom of the page, you’ll see your full invoice history:

  • Every invoice issued

  • Payment amounts

  • The billing dates

You can click View next to any invoice to open it. From there, you can download it as a PDF using the button in the top-left corner. Each invoice also outlines the credits included with your plan, making it easier to track your benefits and usage.

Note: If an invoice is still open or unpaid, users can click the “View” button next to the invoice to open the invoice page. From there, they can complete the payment directly by selecting the “Pay Invoice Online” option located at the top left corner of the invoice.

If you have been a customer for a while, you’ll also see page numbers at the bottom, allowing you to navigate through older invoices.

Note: Some users on custom subscriptions might not see this screen. If that’s the case, please reach out to us so we can assist you.

If you're not on a subscription, you're on our standard Pay as you go plan. In that case, the top of your subscription page will mention the "Pay as you go" package, as displayed below:
