How To Downgrade Your Subscription

You can downgrade your Ocean subscription at any time, but downgrades cannot be done directly inside the settings. Instead, an Admin user must request the change via Intercom chat or email.

Downgrades always take effect at the start of your next billing cycle, in line with our Terms of Service.

Who Can Request a Downgrade

Only Admin users can authorize subscription changes.

  • Messages from Regular users cannot be accepted.

  • If you’re unsure about your role, you can verify it in Settings within the Ocean app (read more)

How to Request a Downgrade

Please email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Admin account.


Please include the details below to help us process your request quickly:

  • Legal entity name referenced in your quote

  • Organization name (if applicable)

  • Current plan → target plan

  • Confirmation that the downgrade should begin on your next billing cycle

Subject: Downgrade request for [Org Name]

I’m an admin for [Legal Entity / Org Name]. Please downgrade from [Current Plan] to [Target Plan] effective on our next billing date.

Admin email (as in app): [[email protected]]

What Happens Next

  1. We confirm receipt
    You’ll receive a quick email confirming we’ve received your request and verified your admin status.

  2. We complete the change
    Once the downgrade is applied, we’ll send a confirmation email with the exact start date/time, which will always be the beginning of your next billing cycle.
