If you're able to export data and reveal contact information but cannot view additional search results, it’s likely that your search limit has been reached within your current subscription plan.
🔍 Why This Happens
Ocean.io employs automated safeguards to ensure the stability, security, and fairness of the platform. These protections may be triggered when unusually high activity is detected, for example, a large number of searches being performed in a short period of time.
This behavior often stems from:
Use of third-party tools or browser extensions (e.g., Chrome add-ons)
Automated scripts or bots
Shared account access from multiple users or locations
Such activity can resemble unauthorized access or scraping automation, both of which are strictly prohibited under our Terms Of Service, which every customer accepts when creating an account and subscription.

🛡️ Why These Safeguards Exist
Many digital tools—like task management systems—are built around user-generated content. In those platforms, your processes are the product, and the tool simply helps you work more efficiently.
Ocean.io is different.
Our platform’s core value is the data itself. To protect the accuracy, freshness, and fairness of access to that data, we must prevent automated scraping. Without these protections:
Bad actors could extract large portions of our database
System performance for legitimate users would degrade
The integrity of our data would be compromised
The long-term sustainability of the service would be at risk
We can assure you: many have attempted to scrape our data, and without strict automated defenses, they would succeed. If that were allowed to happen, Ocean.io simply couldn’t exist—meaning every customer who uses our platform fairly and values our data would lose access. These safeguards ensure that all users can enjoy a stable, high-quality product.
✅ What you can still access
Even after the search limit is reached, you will retain access to:
Export data
Reveal contact information
Full search functionality will remain limited until your credits reset or your plan is upgraded.
🔐 Secure your account
If you suspect that your account may have been accessed by others or external tools, we recommend you:
Change your password
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
Clear your browser cache and disable any other tools or extensions that might interfere with your account
These steps help prevent unauthorized access and reduce the risk of automated behavior being mistakenly associated with your account
🔄 How to restore full access
To continue using the platform without restrictions, you have two options:
Wait for your next billing cycle, when your search limit will automatically reset, or
Upgrade to a higher-tier subscription plan that includes a larger allowance of searches
If your current usage consistently exceeds the limit, upgrading may be the most efficient long-term solution.
⚠️ Note: Our support team cannot adjust search limits.
🚫 Reminder: Automation is not allowed
Search limits are in place to prevent platform misuse, which can harm the experience for all users. Continued use of bots or browser automation may result in permanent access restrictions.
To stay compliant:
Perform your searches manually
Don’t share your login credentials
