Integrate Ocean with a Webhook URL of your choice to export your Ocean data to whichever software you desire. We will send the data over in JSON format, so you can map the data easily in your next integration.
Getting started
To see an example of how the data looks, and which fields are included, visit our API documentation and look at the Response example of our Enrich company API endpoint or Enrich contact API endpoint.
To get started, head over to your Settings > Integrations page, and click on "Setup" in the Webhooks section.
In this menu, choose your settings.
Setup tips
The name of the webhook you choose will be visible in the export menu going forward, so we recommend you name it after the software it will be connected to.
The "Company data webhook URL" exports company data only, that you export through the Companies search.
The "Contact data webhook URL" exports both contact and company data, that you export through the Contacts search instead.
The above-mentioned webhook URLs can differ, or you can copy and paste the same URL if you wish.
In the Export type, Batch size and Rate limit per minute, ensure that you select the settings that are right for the software you are sending the data to. This is crucial for the system to work properly. Not sure what settings to choose? Contact the support team of the software you wish to send Ocean data to, to hear what they recommend. Every software is different.
Exporting Data After Setting Up Your Integration
Once you’ve completed all integration settings, your setup is ready to go.
Go Back to Search Results: Click the Search icon to return to your search results.
Select Items to Export:
Click the empty checkbox next to each item you want to export.
To select multiple items at once, click the checkbox next to the Score column to select all visible items.
Use the Action Bar: Once items are selected, the Action Bar will appear at the top of the list.
Export Your Data: Click the Export button. You’ll see the available export options depending on the integration you have set up.
Note: Going forward, the names of your webhook(s) will be available in the Export menu for quick access.
Example settings Zapier:
When you set up a Trigger step in Zapier, pick the Webhooks by Zapier option and paste the webhook URL Zapier gives you into Ocean's settings. An example of what a webhook URL in Zapier looks like is: https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/4343580/3xy7ghe/
Zapier can only process 1 company per Zap run, and can maximum get triggered 100 times per minute for 1 zap. So ensure you pick the One by one export type, leave the Batch size blank, and add "100" or less in the Rate limit per minute field.
