Lookalike searches

When adding an enrichment to your table, search for "Ocean.io" in the "Integrations" section to get started.

Proceed to add all the necessary filters in your Clay account, to get the results returned.

Continue to use the data in Clay to your preference. Read more about the fields you can filter by in Clay's documentation.

You can either choose to use your Clay credits to perform this action, or you can insert your Ocean API key inside of Clay's integration settings to use Ocean credits instead.

What is the difference between performing your search in Clay or in Ocean?

The benefit to performing your search directly in Clay, is that you can skip logging into another tool, Ocean.io.

The benefit to performing your search first in Ocean, then exporting it to Clay, is that you can see the results and pick and choose which ones are actually relevant to you, before paying for exporting them. This keeps your cost lower and ensures you only pull the companies and contacts that are really relevant to you.

πŸ’° Credits: There are two ways to pay for pulling Ocean data inside of Clay, without exporting from the Ocean platform per se. You can either pay with your Clay credits, which are 1 credit per returned result inside of a row (note: not 1 credit per row!). Or you can pay through your Ocean account by inserting your Ocean API key.

If you choose to use your Ocean API key, your credits will be used according to the "Credits Explained" article.
