The lookalike search just got a whole lot stronger with our new keywords filter. Supplement your searches by steering the algorithm to look for words that describe companies' products and services.

Which keywords does it look for?

The keywords that are taken into consideration are up to 3 words long, taken from different sources where the company describes what they do. We store up to 100 keywords per company. Examples of sources are a company's website, LinkedIn description, and LinkedIn specialties.

Here's an example of a few keywords that are picked up from Ikea:

Not sure which keywords are the right ones for you? We always recommend starting out with a lookalike search. In the example below, we picked ikea.com. In the search, click on the name of a company to go to the company page:

Once you're on the company page, scroll down to the list of keywords used to describe the company. Take some inspiration and go back to your search to add some terms to the keywords filter.

Open the keyword filter to add 1 or more keywords to the search. Use "all of" if you want to enforce the presence of all keywords, or "any of" if you want to find companies that have at least 1 of the keywords you entered.

Did you find some examples that weren't too relevant? Try to add their keywords to the "Exclude" filter to narrow down your search.
