Speed up your process to get to the right lookalikes

Updated over a week ago

New in Labs: AI-powered discovery search! Fill out a niche or industry, and let our bot do the work to find the right lookalike reference companies.

Start by filling out an industry or niche that you'd like to find companies in. The more precise, the better our bot will be able to get you the results you're looking for.

Ready? Click on the magic wand button and watch the magic happen.

When it's done, the bot will showcase three companies that should fit your description and are similar to one another. These three companies are used in combination in the lookalike search to get you the best results.

How does it work?

As shown in the examples, you can enter multiple words that could be used to describe the type of company you're looking for.

Examples are Generative AI, Spacecraft manufacturers and Sustainable pet grooming.

Our bot will then try to understand the kind of companies you're looking for, and suggest three companies that are similar as base for your lookalike search.

Note that our bot only looks at a company industry or niche - it does not take size, country and more into consideration. These are filters you can add separately through the "Filters" tab.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: You can be creative with the phrasing - our bot is a smart cookie and will do its best to understand whatever logic you throw at it! Combine verbs, industries, keywords, and descriptions, and let our bot crunch the data.

Changing the lookalike references

Using the AI-discovery search might give you broader results than the "Precise search", as it takes multiple companies into consideration and analyzes their common characteristics.

If you wish to change the companies that are used in the lookalike search, you can click on "Finetune search" to switch to a precise search and remove/add lookalike companies to your liking.

To enable this search

You can enable it with the toggle button in your search filters, or by navigating to your Labs page in your Settings to enable it from there.
