Using Ocean.io API Data in Your Product or Service

Ocean.io's API can be used to integrate Ocean.io data and capabilities into your systems, applications, and workflows.

If you're building something for your own customers using Ocean.io, we'd love to learn more about your use case and help you find the right setup.

Using Ocean.io for your own business

Depending on your Ocean.io agreement, API access can be used to support a variety of internal business activities, such as:

  • Enriching companies or contacts in your CRM

  • Finding companies and contacts for your sales or marketing teams

  • Building internal prospecting and research workflows

  • Automating company or contact enrichment

  • Connecting Ocean.io with other tools and internal systems

The specific usage rights available to you are determined by your agreement with Ocean.io.

Using Ocean.io in a customer-facing product

If you're building a product, platform, application, integration, AI solution, or service that uses Ocean.io and is made available to your own customers or other third parties, we'd like to discuss the use case with you.

For example, you might be:

  • Adding Ocean.io-powered search or enrichment to your product

  • Allowing your customers to access Ocean.io-powered results through your platform

  • Using Ocean.io as a data source for a customer-facing feature

  • Building an integration that provides Ocean.io data or results to your users

  • Looking to resell or redistribute Ocean.io data as part of your service

These types of use cases may require a separate agreement with Ocean.io, as standard subscriptions do not include reseller, redistribution, or sublicensing rights unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

This doesn't mean you can't build with Ocean.io. We simply want to understand how Ocean.io will be used and make sure the appropriate agreement and setup are in place.

Tell us what you're building

If you're considering a customer-facing integration, getting in touch with us early is the best place to start.

It helps if you can share:

  • What you're building

  • How you plan to use Ocean.io

  • Who will use the product or service

  • How Ocean.io data or results will be made available

  • Your expected number of customers or users

  • Your estimated API usage

We'll review the use case with you and help determine the appropriate next steps.
