What is the Connections filter?
A person’s LinkedIn connections can be a strong signal of their professional reach, visibility, and influence.
With Ocean.io’s Connections filter, you can set a minimum and/or maximum connection count to refine the level of network reach in your results.
Use it to find:
Well-connected decision-makers
Industry influencers and advocates
High-value partnership opportunities
Specialist audiences with tighter networks
Where to find the filter
Open People tab in Ocean.io and navigate to the filters section.
You can either:
Browse the available filters manually and select Connections, or
Use Search for a filter at the bottom of the filters section to find it faster.
How to use the filter
Enter:
a minimum value
a maximum value
or both to define your desired connection range.
Ocean returns people whose LinkedIn connections fall within your selected range.
Example
500 → 5,000
Find professionals with 500–5,000 LinkedIn connections.
You can leave either field blank:
Minimum only:
1,000→ returns people with 1,000+ connectionsMaximum only:
500→ returns people with up to 500 connections
💡 Tip: The Connections filter works best when combined with other People filters like Job Title, Seniority, or Location, helping you build a precise list of relevant, well-networked contacts for outreach.
