π How it works
Simply enter one or more keywords or phrases (separated by commas) into the filter.
The system will scan LinkedIn profile skills and return contacts that match your input.
Example inputs:
python, machine learning
SEO, content marketing
project management, agile
βοΈ Matching logic (βAny ofβ vs βAll ofβ)
The Skills filter supports two matching modes:
π‘ Any of (OR logic)
Returns contacts that match at least one skill keyword.
Example:
python, java
π Matches profiles with Python OR Java skills.
Best for:
Broad discovery
Building larger lists
Exploring skill markets
π΅ All of (AND logic)
Returns contacts that match all skill keywords.
Example:
python, machine learning
π Matches profiles that include both skills.
Best for:
Precise targeting
Narrow ICP definitions
High-intent searches
π« Excluding skills (refining results)
You can exclude specific skills to remove irrelevant profiles.
How to exclude skills:
Type your skills in the filter
Hover over a skill after adding it
Click the βExcludeβ button instead of adding it normally
The system will then remove profiles that contain that skill in their LinkedIn profile skills section.
π‘ Why this filter is powerful
Unlike job titles, LinkedIn skills are:
standardized
self-reported
highly specific
cross-role and cross-industry
This allows you to:
Find true technical or functional expertise
Identify niche specialists across companies
Improve targeting accuracy beyond job titles
Build highly relevant prospect lists
π Use cases
