Funding Filter

Find companies based on their most recent funding results.

The Funding Filter helps you identify companies based on their most recent funding round.

This allows you to target businesses that are in specific growth stages or have recently raised capital, making it easier to tailor your outreach and prioritize opportunities.

What It Does

This filter gives you control over three key aspects of a company’s latest funding round:

You can set a minimum (From) and maximum (To) amount from the following predefined ranges:

  • 100M

  • 500M

Date of Last Funding Round

Filter based on when the company’s latest funding round was closed.
You can set a specific From and To range by date, month, and year.

How It Works

The Funding Filter applies only to the most recent funding event recorded for each company in Ocean.io’s database. It draws from publicly available funding information, allowing you to narrow your search to companies that have raised specific amounts, received certain types of funding, or secured investment within a particular timeframe.

When to Use This Filter

Use the Funding Filter to:

  • Identify fast-growing companies that have recently raised capital and may be expanding their teams or investing in new tools.

  • Target specific funding stages that align with your ideal customer profile (for example, Seed and Series A companies for early-stage sales, or Series C and beyond for enterprise targets).

  • Discover newly funded companies that may have fresh budgets and growth initiatives.

  • Focus on funding types that indicate different levels of maturity or stability, such as Venture Capital vs. Private Equity.

Tips

  • Use recent funding rounds (for example, in the last 12 months) to find companies likely to be making new purchasing decisions.

  • Exclude certain funding types (such as “Grant” or “Debt Financing”) if they are not relevant to your target customer profile.

  • Pair the Funding Filter with Lookalike filters to uncover similar companies that may not yet have raised funding but share strong characteristics with your best customers.

The Funding Filter helps you prioritize opportunities with momentum, giving you insight into which companies are growing, investing, and ready to engage.
