In most cases, Ocean’s database includes the same contacts that are visible on LinkedIn. However, there may be instances where a contact appears on LinkedIn but not on Ocean.
Here are some reasons why this might happen:
Company Legitimacy
Ocean only displays contacts who are actively working at verified, legitimate companies. If someone is associated with a company that lacks an authentic web presence or isn't recognized within Ocean’s database, they will not appear in Ocean's search results.
Privacy Settings
Some LinkedIn users choose to hide their profiles from public search engines or may have certain aspects of their professional experience set to private. In cases where LinkedIn has blurred or restricted the visibility of a person's profile, Ocean respects these privacy choices and does not display such contacts.
As a rule of thumb, if you cannot view a person’s company name and experience while browsing LinkedIn in an incognito window, they will not appear in Ocean’s search results.
