Wait

Pause for a set time before the next step.

Wait · Flow

Pauses each record for a set time, then continues to the next step.

When to use it

Use it to build delays into a workflow — wait 90 days after a deal closes before re-engaging, or hold a record a few days between touches.

What it does

When a record reaches this step, it parks until the wait is up, then moves on. Records waiting show as "Waiting" in Activity, and "Waited" once they continue.

Configure it

Wait is set inline on its card — enter a number and choose a unit (seconds, minutes, hours, days, or weeks).

Cost

No credit cost. See Credits in workflows.

Gotchas

  • The duration must be greater than zero, or the step is marked incomplete and blocks publishing.

  • Records genuinely pause here, so a workflow with a long wait keeps records in progress for that whole time — you'll see them sitting at the Wait step in Activity.
