Compares two domains and writes a similarity label on each record, using five lookalike judges to reach a verdict.
When to use it
Use it to judge how closely a prospect resembles a reference account — for example, label how similar each sourced company is to your best customer, then route on the label.
What it does
For each record, it compares the two domains you point it at and writes a similarity field you can filter or route on.
Configure it
Domain 1 and Domain 2 — the two domains to judge. Use
@to draw one from the record, such as@Company domain, and set the other as your reference. If you leave Domain 2 empty, Ocean compares each incoming company's own domain against Domain 1.
Cost
0.1 credits per record. See Credits in workflows.
Gotchas
The field it writes is always named
similarity— reference it by that name downstream. If this step failing shouldn't stop the record, open the step's settings, find If this step fails, and switch on Continue anyway. See Troubleshooting workflows.
