Country Restrictions On Your Account
Country Restrictions On Your Account

Read more on the restrictions set according to your contract for the countries or regions of your leads

Updated over a week ago

Wondering why some companies and contacts are available, and some aren't? This article dives into how country restrictions work.

When you sign a contract with Ocean, you choose which countries or regions you wish to include in your access. Every user within your organization will have the same access, though they can set their preferences in their settings to apply filters by default.

Explained in one sentence, "the countries or regions you purchase are tied to the HQ location of the company".

Here's an example. Let's say that you've purchased data in Europe.

Booking.com might have offices in multiple countries, but their HQ location is in the Netherlands. As a result, you can see Booking.com in your search with the data you've purchased. You can also see all contacts linked to Booking.com, regardless of their location. Yes, also the ones residing in Singapore or Mexico.

Here's another example.

Starbucks might have locations in Europe, but their HQ location is in the United States. For that reason, if you've purchased European data only, you will not be able to see Starbucks or their employees in your search.

You can add data to your contract any time. Contact your Customer Success Manager to hear more.
